Boston's First Fishing Trip...

Kyle was so excited to take Bos on his first fishing trip! They went with G to his secret fishing pond and caught 15 fish! Boston was running from one pole to the next helping everyone reel their fish in!
He absolutely loved it! He took the fish from house to house that day showing everyone what he had caught. G even grilled them up for Sunday dinner!

Needless to say....I think there will be many more fishing trips in this little guys future!

big and strong and coming right along...

Mackay...

10 Weeks
weight: 14lbs. 9 oz.
height: 22 1/2 inches

It is seriously so fun to have a baby in the house again. Especially on the 2nd I have enjoyed it so much more, not as much worrying like you do over the first! One of my favorite parts of my day is during nap time I make it "baby time." I would ususally clean or watch a show, but I've been hanging out with the little guy instead. I nap with him, or chat. Play patty cake and get some smiles! It's awesome. Mack has been a wonderful addition to our family, he's fit in perfectly. He was definitely worth the wait!
A few things about our new little guy...
Such a content, happy, lovey baby.
Loves his blankies over his face to sleep.
Half the time he likes his binki the other half he gags with it!
Loves his swing and play gym, can already reach up and hold onto the little toys!
Smiles at anyone that will look at him...especially his big bro Bos!
Likes to sing songs, but they don't calm him down like they did Boston.
Loves to eat.
Chubbiest little Chub...I kiss his cheeks all day long!!
Sleeps through the night.
Loves to play patty-cake and "so big!"
Doesn't really enjoy tummy time or his little neck streches!
Hardly cries, but when he does, it's sounds very serious!
His sad face breaks your heart, he really gets the bottom lip goin!
Wakes Dada up in the middle of the night with his pooping!
He's super ticklish!
My favorite thing...he's a mama's boy!

In the car seat coming home from the hospital and now at 7 weeks!

One Month...

Two Months...

 Boston...

3 years 7 months
weight: 48 lbs.
height: 43 inches

Boston is our wild man! He loves all things boy!! Anything outside is so fun, but the kid loves tv! haha! We try to keep up with all his energy...it's extremes in taking care of these two. I'm having fun playing pretend guns and dragons with Bos then switching to sweet baby mode with Mackay.
He's a major dada's boy! He cries for Kyle everyday while he's at work, and is always sooo excited when he gets home. They love to wrestle and do "boy" things! Boston needs some one on one attention lately, poor thing!
Bos loves Seaworld and Shamu. Any whale for that matter! He has toy whales of every kind Shamu the killer whale and Walter the sperm whale! He's into all kinds of "sea creatures," as he call them. I guess that's from growing up so close to the ocean!
Boston keeps us laughing with all the words and phrases he now knows. He can carry on very interesting conversations! He has the greatest imagination...his ideas while playing pretend are so thought out he knows exactly what the other character {i'm playing} should say too, and he doesn't move on until you say exactly what he asks! He loves water! Swimming, tubs, playing in the bathroom sink, jumping in public water features {ahh so embarrassing} you name it he loves all things water! He just ended his T-ball camp. It was so darling. He would last about 5 minutes until he was hot and tired and just ready to play on the big toy. Dad wasn't so pleased about that, but when he wanted to hit the ball he was awesome! It was so fun to see him in a group setting with other kids his age. He became fast friends with Marcello as they would chat about Power Rangers in line to bat!
He's a great big brother. He loves Mack so much and always wants to "help!" The most common phrase is "Hi Mackay, how was your naaappp?" in a very high pitched voice!
I can't believe he's already 3 1/2. It's so true when they say, no matter how old your kids get they always feel like your baby! I die at this t-ball shirt picture because of how old he looks. He's a not a baby, he's a boy! Time flies when you're having fun, and we're definitely having fun with Bos!

Wanted to be "wrapped up" like Baby Mackay
Got hair dye at his haircut...he loved it!

our activity staples...

Birch Aquarium...
Playing with the "sea creatures." This photo taken right before he proceeded to lick the octopus! Germs! I about died.
Petting the starfish.
Petting sea cucumbers and anemone's.
Janie and Boston groovin' to the man powered radio!
Different day at the aquarium, but this was our first outing! Pretty momentous!
San Diego Zoo...
Feeding the goats red leafs from outside the gate! We were pretty popular with the goats until we got yelled at for feeding them "toxic" materials! Whoops!
Darling Sage!
Cute Boston. This orangutan wanted that little yellow flower so bad...it was just outside the glass!
Eating his pretzel by the hippo, we have to get a pretzel every time we go to the zoo!
Best Baby Ever award goes to Mackay! We love you buddy! You're going to love the zoo one day!

In the Neighborhood...

We really love San Diego, the weather {the fact that you can play outside almost everyday of the year}, and the complex where we live! We managed to find a very quiet homey neighborhood and love all of our friendly neighbors!

Ellie and Lola are some of those neighbors and friends! Here they are on the chalk trail we make for them out front. Comes with a candy store, pet store, gas station, bike wash, cupcake store, balloon store, grumpy old troll bridge, and individualized parking spots for everyone's bikes! Boston loves "the girls"!!

Another almost daily activity is looking for "shells" and potato bugs! In our bushes there are tons and tons of potato bugs that Boston of course discovered! He is such a boy, has no fear of picking up all the bugs and checking them out! We can't get in the car without first making a stop here! He's even snuck a potato bug or two in the car with us a few times! I hate it!

Weekend at Home...

We love the weekend at our house. Mostly because we have Dad home! This weekend we just hung out at home, but still had some fun!

Mack knows how to chill...

Seriously could you just die?!

Bos and Dad making cookies...Who doesn't cook in an apron and underwear??

Love this little bum!

This video is from dinnner Friday night. I must add a couple disclaimers...
A. Don't judge me that our child is drinking Dr. Pepper, I don't give it to him very often!
B. If any of you know Boston, you know he is a VERY picky eater! Well, don't judge us for teasing him!! We were having quesadillas for dinner, so I made Boston a cheese one. We really tried hard to get him to try it...no success. Little did we know the teasing would produce so many different emotions!!

Mackay Jeffrey Nelson

..May 24, 2012
...8 lbs 14 oz
....20.5"
.....5 hours of labor
......4 pushes

He's seriously the perfect baby....eats, sleeps, smiles!
I knew he was going to be chill from the second we met him. Our delivery was so peaceful and quiet and so is he.
What a sport he is with his big brother too...Boston loves {smothers} him.

We know Mackay was sent especially for us. Both of our boys were. Having a newborn in the house again has been so great. Seeing my
family grow makes me so happy I have the life I have.

Many of you probably don't know this fact about Kyle...he loves to make up songs to sing to all of us just about normal things we're doing. I remember when we were first dating and married he'd ask me to try..."just sing about me driving", or "just sing about what we're wearing.." I was always way to embarrassed!
It was so sweet when I found Kyle rocking Mack singing him his very first "Dada Made Up" song!
His name is Mack....
He's sharp as a tack....
He's soft to the touch....
We love him so much....
{the dots inbetween sound like t-t-t-t {a soft symbol sound??}}

A HUGE thank you to Mandy for these amazing photos! We love them!
